The Crystal C1P is the filtered member of the Crystal tap family, and KOJO redesigned the filter from scratch for it: a custom air-core choke (no core losses, no saturation) paired with proven Okaya suppression capacitors in a pi configuration, aimed at normal-mode noise rather than the usual common-mode approach.
Filter taps often clean the sound and drain its drive at the same time; the C1P is voiced against that trade. A Panasonic surge absorber rides ahead of the filter for lightning protection, and the link outlet lets a whole chain of Crystal taps sit behind its filter. The M.I.S. chassis construction is standard here as everywhere in the range.
