The Crystal L1P is built around a simple mercy: the moment of switch-on is the hardest moment in a component's life. Inrush current stresses transformers, and valve amplifiers and switchless vintage gear feel it most. The L1P ramps the voltage up slowly with a power MOSFET stage, so the gear wakes gently instead of with a jolt.
A Soft Start lamp shows when the ramp is done, and the rest of the tap is standard Crystal series quality: M.I.S. floating chassis, damping-alloy spacers, single-core internal wiring, and a link outlet to chain other Crystal taps downstream.
