The SAEC AC-3003 is a refined, high-value power cable that improves upon the popular AC-3000 by upgrading from a 2-core to a 3-core structure (live, neutral, ground). It retains the same emphasis on quality, cost-performance, and ease of handling while incorporating the advanced PC-Triple C conductor technology.
This patented high-purity copper is manufactured through Furukawa Electric's exclusive continuous forging and drawing process, which aligns the crystal structure longitudinally to minimize grain boundaries, significantly reducing distortion and enhancing conductivity for stable electrical characteristics optimized for audio power delivery.
Each conductor consists of 37 strands of φ0.26mm diameter wire, providing an effective cross-sectional area of 2mm² (2Sq) per line. This configuration supports low-resistance transmission and a 15A allowable current rating, delivering consistent power to a wide range of components, from sources and preamps to integrated amplifiers or multi-device setups.
To promote mechanical stability and even transmission across frequencies, the twisted 3-core design includes cotton thread insertion as a filler for damping and balanced performance. The conductors are sheathed in heat-resistant polyolefin (non-lead for environmental consideration), offering durability, flexibility, and heat tolerance without unnecessary bulk. No external shielding is featured in this model, keeping the design compact and practical. The overall outer diameter is φ8.8mm — slightly larger than the AC-3000 yet still highly manageable for routing in racks, walls, or concealed installations.
