Built around Oyaide’s FTVS-510, this digital coax is engineered for true 75Ω transmission with a focus on purity, speed, and noise rejection. The FTVS-510 uses a 5N (99.9995%) pure silver center conductor (1.05mm) with skin-pass processing, a fluororesin skin layer + foamed polyethylene insulation structure, a semi-conductive layer to help dissipate static, and a dual shield (copper foil plus high-coverage silver-plated copper braid) inside a UV-cut polyurethane jacket. Sonically it’s described as full and weighty through the lower mids with a crisp, modern top end, aiming for a powerful, high-resolution presentation that stays balanced and articulate.
Termination is handled with Oyaide’s silver-contact “SL” series to keep the connection as uncompromising as the wire itself: the SLSC RCA features a 4N pure silver center pin for high conductivity and clarity, while the SLSB BNC is a 75Ω BNC plug that also uses a 4N pure silver center pin to preserve impedance integrity for digital coax links. Both use a high-density CNC-machined brass body designed for strong shielding, with an architecture that prioritizes clean signal transfer right at the interface.
